STEPS TO BETTER WRITING 30: ADDING OTHER CONNECTORS

 

Rewrite the second sentence in each pair below, providing any connecting devices and signal words that would improve the connections between the sentences. Underline your linking device in each sentence. Make sure that your connector clearly states the relationship between the information in the two sentences.

 

1Franklin Prins was once a well-known attorney. Franklin Prins practiced law in my home town for thirty-five years.
